Rucha Kulkarni is a visual artist and social art practitioner working across painting, textile, and installation. Her interdisciplinary practice explores themes of identity, migration, memory, and community through collaborative, process-based methodologies. Grounded in traditional craft and feminist pedagogy, Kulkarni’s participatory projects engage storytelling, care, and embodied knowledge as tools for collective authorship and dialogue.
She has exhibited internationally at prominent institutions such as the Wereldmuseum (Netherlands), the Museum of Modern Art, Salvador (Brazil), and the Asia Culture Centre, Gwangju (South Korea). Kulkarni has received support from the Mondriaan Fonds, Stimuleringsfonds, and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).
She currently lives and works between Amsterdam and Pune.
